Shawls Of Safety - Gala & Art Auction

This event will highlight and give voice to "Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women" and the "Tears for Justice" campaigns supporting Marlene Bird. Profits raised from the event will also benefit two local organizations; Green Haven, Shelter for Women & the Biminaawzogin Regional Aboriginal Women's Circle, who both provide safe housing for women and children in and around Orillia, Ontario.

Our Master of Ceremonies for the evening is the beautiful and talented Tantoo Cardinal. We will be having a silent auction featuring the work of talented local artists

We are honoured and excited to have performances by Robbie Antone Blues Machine, Brock Stonefish, Manitou Mkwa Singers, The Benson Bros (Ned & Sandy), Sarah Stinson, D'arcy Good & Darlene Legault.

This event is 100% volunteer based and all monies raised will be donated to the organizations. It is our goal, with your support, to make a positive impact and difference in the lives of the women and children by addressing and giving a voice to prevent violence against women.

G'chi-Miigwech for your support
