14516508_953074871471618_1866612258258723259_n.jpgTHE CALL: Cheryl Maloney, who is fighting Alton Gas and fracking in Mik'maq territory, is caling for an Indigenous day of action across turtle island on October 10, 2016.

OUR RESPONSE: Meet at Hillcrest Park at 12pm on Thanksgiving Monday ( October 10) and walk to the Spirit Gardens at the marina (arriving there around 12:40). Please bring tobacco, cloth, and food to share for the water ceremony.

All across turtle island our nations are facing the same struggles.

Join us to walk, make offerings and feast the water.

We want to show our support for the people fighting everywhere from Mik'maw territory to Standing Rock. We also want to raise awareness of the threat in our own backyard: the TransCanada's Energy East Pipeline.
