Many thanks to you all for standing strong! We have been extremely busy in the state of Washington! Without organizing another march or rally we still would like to acknowledge our struggles, efforts, and continued need for assistance to keep up the fight for our rights and for those who cannot fight for themselves.
In support of the Idle No More Global Day of Action we are asking you to post on this event page photos, videos, and links with the date, place, and information about the issue you are standing up for so people may learn about and support your cause. Make a sign, take a photo, post information with your picture, add links, news articles, videos, petitions and any other information to get people involved!
In our state there are many causes we are facing: the coal trains and proposed coal terminals, tar sands, oil tankers, ICWA and Native families and children’s rights, tribal sovereignty, save the salmon, the revitalization of the Indian Heritage Program, saving the murals, the Nooksack 306, tribal recognition, water rights, sacred sites protection, and many more.
On Monday October 7th at 8:00 pm (Indian Time) please join us wherever you are at. We ask you to say a prayer, light some sage or a candle, sing or drum for one another, for the earth, for our children and the next 7 generations! Our ancestors were never idle…we honor their legacy and continue the work! We are strong and together we are ~ Idle No More!!
