Restoring the Heart beat: 24 Hour Drum in response to National Call

As response to the October 7th Idle no More Call to Action, we will have an all day celebration of culture, starting at sunrise and ending at sunset.

The drumming will go from sunrise to sunset, and be continuous as a heartbeat so please join us when you can, even if it is only an hour or two.

Bring your drum, your rattle and your voice.

Sunrise is set to be at 7:19 so we will meet at the water for 7am and continue on to the arch afterwards to answer the call and celebrate our sacred heritage by being #idlenomore!

’Wish I could come but Fort Erie is 90 miles away. I do not own a car. I usually travel by motorcycle or scooter but today is forecast to be a major deluge. I am 76 and not up to the potential exposure to wet and cold. I wish you all well and would for sure come if I could. I hope my many friends of the ’50s decade on the WNY reservations will participate.
