Peru's indigenous people protest against relicensing of oil concession

The Kichwa peoples in the Amazon region are blocking the Tigre River with cables to prevent Oil Boats from passing their lands. They are addressing through direct action the lack of actions being addressed by the government in addressing the social and environmental impact left behind from decades of Oil extraction in the region.
