Idle No More: March in the Solano Stroll Parade!!

Show Indigenous Pride & Strength! The Solano Stroll is the oldest and largest street fair in the San Francisco Bay Area. It attracts between 75,000 to 100,000 people each year. Let's make our Native (& Ally) selves known!! The folks at Gathering Tribes have secured Idle No More a place in the parade which kicks off the Stroll.

Join us at between 8:30 and 9:00 am at Solano Avenue & Colusa Avenue in Berkeley where the parade participants will be organized. The parade is a little over 1/2 a mile. The parade starts at 10am. Afterward, you can stick around for the free music, activities for kids, and lots of fun all along the Avenue.

We will all follow our 10+ foot tall Mother Earth puppet. The All Nations Drum, which has had a relationship with Gathering Tribes for 22 years will be riding on a flat bed truck. We will bring our Idle No More banners, feel free to bring signs, flags, etc. The women will alternate singing the Women's Warrior Song with the All Nations Drum songs. Feel free to wear your regalia!
