I think since this an International Effort we could have the website presented in multiple languages :ie Hindu...Chinese...Hebrew...Sanscrit...etc. Also what fun will it be without humor? We could have a "HUMOR CORNER" I got one (ha pun intended) excuses are like a!!holes, everybody got one,and they're only good for one thing...wiping. Is this funny,or just true? Too tasteless?

I would love to see faces. Faces of the people of First Nations and some other Canadians too. But faces.
Humans.
And I too appreciate this page and the work done.

Hey all! Great looking forum you have. I wanted to share a link to another forum that I figured was on the same page as all of us.

No Longer Idle

I like this idea of "articles for dummies" and would find it very helpful. I came here as a non-native to try learning about the current issues and conditions but maybe some aboriginal background stuff too. So perhaps as well as "...for dummies" articles a links page to relevant and informative sites that already exist to help put order to what I read here.
I do find a lot of biased unhelpful stuff out there .
Anyway, thanks and take care.

I have seen suggestions for documents to teach people our First Nations and Aboriginal history. My best suggestion is look for it. On youtube, there are many videos, and some teachers on-line. One person I like to watch is Oren Lyons, on youtube. He has good teachings. I have not extensively looked for people who teach on the net, but I believe some of our story is there. I learned a lot from many people in my life, both First Nations and non, and I would gladly share what I know to those willing to learn something. Life I believe is a journy of sharing knowledge and experience and we will become a better world by learning and listening to eachother. Also look at the FB pages related to Idle No More, I belong to the Treaty 6 one, and sometimes people post good links. One was called something about "Treaty Primer", it was a good short read.

Please keep in mind that our Education system failed miserably if you grew up in Canada and have no idea what the Treaty relationship is all about. If you raising kids, talk to them and learn together the side that is not written or taught in school. Its a story quite different than what you may have heard. We are all treaty people, whether from the First Nations or the Original settlers, if you live in Canada, you gain benefits from the agreement made long ago. But to understand the perspective First Nations have shared via their oral history is not what schools normally teach.

Thats my suggestions for today. Hope you all have a good day.
