Report of the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples
After the Oka Crisis of July - September,1990; George Erasmus and Rene Dussault travelled throughout Canada starting in 1991 and gave this report in 1996. It is 5 volumes, over 4000 pages and makes over 400 suggestions on how to improve the relationship with the Canadian Indigenous People including a way to move past the Indian Act. Unfortunately, it was never implemented.
