The Forgotten Refugees - Film - Egypt

I think this series might be of interest as another story of diversity in our Jewish community, a story also of the world's distortion of history in ignoring Jewish refugees post war while continuing to talk of Palestinian refugees. But most importantly, the first program is a film made recently by a young Egyptian Muslim, Amir Ramses who asks about antiSemitism in his country and where did all the Jews go  had contributed so much to culture and economy.

This film has won recognition and been shown at Jewish film festivals but was banned in Egypt under Morsi. I believe it is shown now but it will be interesting to learn how its received as antiSemitism has been stirred up again. We plan to Skype with the director on Dec 8 but I will connect you with him now if you decide to write about this, and of course I hope you will as it will draw out an audience.
