Idle No More is strongly in support of this event.
We are a local group of concerned First Nations women working together to advocate for all our women. We are thrilled to begin the planning of a First Annual Memorial March for Missing and Murdered Aboriginal Women. This event will be held on February 14th, 2014, in the town of Orillia. We are also compiling a speaker’s list for the event and will be having a BBQ/Feast for everyone in attendance.
We are inviting everyone to Orillia to attend this event, as this on-going problem affects so many First Nations families on so many different levels. Our goal is to also raise awareness and educate people outside of our First Nations Territories of this problem our communities face regularly.
